Birthing From Within™ childbirth classes help guide mothers in finding her deepest questions about what birth will be like for them.
Every mother will experience her birth differently, and the truth is, the mystery of birth for some women can be relatively easy while others may face long, difficult labors. Because there is no special way to get an easy birth, as teachers our goal is to help parents learn the tools and get support they need to navigate the intensity of their labor and birth.
Seeds of Birth prenatal classes welcome families who plan to birth either at the hospital or at home. Our philosophy (based in the Birthing From Within style) is to help guide parents to birth with mindfulness no matter what the outcome or where the birth takes place. We place an emphasis on providing a safe environment for mothers to become familiar with natural childbirth, but we also support and prepare mothers to meet a birth that involves medication, an epidural or a cesarean.
We believe that childbirth is a profound rite of passage, not a medical event (even when medical care is part of the birth).
We strive for a balance of core birthing information with a deeper multi sensory approach to our classes. This helps women and their partners make that journey through labour and birth with a deeper sense of awareness and heightened confidence.
We believe that each mother will birth differently, this means that during our classes we are helping couples to find their own answers and essentially figuring out what works best for them.
Our goal is to help prepare mothers to be to give birth in awarness- not achieve a specific outcome
We realize that pregnancy and birth outcome are influenced by a variety of factors, but can't be controlled by planning.
We believe that parents deserve support for any birth option which might be right for them.
We accept that pain is an inevitable part of childbirth, yet much can be done to ease suffering. We offer many pain coping techniques as a major part of our classes and help couples to find their personal strengths and unique coping skills.
